Jr. NCSY SHABBATON
On behalf of NCSY, I wish to thank everyone for the successful Junior Regional Shabbton held this weekend. The 29 members of NCSY (including advisors and participants) enjoyed their stay in Kitchener and the hospitality shown to them by our Shul. The participants are all Junior High School students and belong to a variety of shuls in the Toronto/Thornhill/Richmond Hill area. I'm sure that once they get back to their home shuls, our reputation will continue to grow.
I would like to particularly thank the following people for opening up their homes to the participants. Mr and Mrs. Grossman, Mr and Mrs. Abrahim, Ilene Krevetsky and of course Rabbi and Rebbitzen Zuckerman.
I would also like to thank all members who attended services this weekend and made the participants feel at home. I would also like to apologize to the host families as well as the community at large for not inviting anyone to share in any of their meals. However, this was being footed entirely by NCSY on a very strict budget and food was only budgeted for the participants.
Beth Jacob and members were not asked to financially support the Shabbaton.
Once again, my thanks on behalf of NCSY for helping make the Shabbaton a successful weekend.
